About the Journal

Tanzil: Jurnal Studi Al-Quran is a refereed academic journal published by Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Sadra in Jakarta. The journal conscientiously aims to provide a scholarly platform for critical and informed articles, particularly in Qur’anic studies. The articles discuss such issues in the form of literature studies, individual research, and critical book reviews, which arise out of classical and contemporary discussions from varied traditions, either Eastern or Western, in the hope of contributing to the resolution of various theoretical, methodological, and practical issues in the fields.

The journal invites scholars and experts working in all disciplines of Islamic Studies. Articles should be original, research-based, unpublished, and not under review for possible publication in other journals. All submitted papers are subject to review by the editors.

Tanzil: Jurnal Studi Al-Quran is published two times a year in April and October. Starting with Volume 6, Number 1, October 2023, Tanzil: Jurnal Studi Al-Quran only accepts English manuscripts.

Tanzil: Jurnal Studi Al-Quran is published twice a year, in April and October. Starting with Volume 6, Number 1, October 2023, the journal only accepts manuscripts written in English. All submitted papers are subject to editorial review and consideration for publication.
