Focus

Tanzil: Jurnal Studi Al-Quran is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Sadra, Jakarta. The journal provides a scholarly platform for critical, analytical, and methodologically grounded studies in Qur’anic studies, engaging both classical and contemporary discourses from diverse intellectual traditions, Eastern and Western. The journal aims to contribute to the development of theoretical, methodological, and practical discussions in Qur’anic studies through original research, literature-based studies, and critical book reviews.

Scope

Tanzil: Jurnal Studi Al-Quran welcomes high-quality manuscripts that address, but are not limited to, the following areas: Qur’anic Studies and Exegesis (Tafsir) Studies; Methodologies of Qur’an and Tafsir Studies; Classical and Contemporary Qur’anic Interpretation; Tafsir Nusantara (Archipelagic Qur’anic Interpretation); Living Qur’an Studies; Qur’anic Hermeneutics; The Qur’an and Social, Cultural, and Ethical Issues; The Qur’an and Science; Critical studies of figures and intellectual trends in Qur’anic studies; and Thematic (Maudhu‘i) Studies of the Qur’an. Contributions from interdisciplinary perspectives are welcome, provided that the discussion remains firmly grounded in Qur’anic studies and employs rigorous scholarly methods.
