Tanzil: Jurnal Studi Al-Quran is a refereed academic journal published by Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Sadra in Jakarta. The journal aims to provide a scholarly platform for critical and informed articles, particularly in Qur’anic studies. The article discusses such issues in the form of literature study, individual research, and critical book review, which arise out of classical and contemporary discussions from varied traditions, either Eastern, or Western, in the hope to contribute resolution of various theoretical, methodological, and practical issues in the fields. The journal contents discuss various matters related to the Qur’anic Studies, the Exegesis Studies, the Methodology of Qur’an and Tafsir studies, the interpretation of the archipelago (Tafsir Nusantara), the Living Qur’an, The Qur'anic Hermeneutic, the Qur’an and Social Culture, The Qur'an and Science, thoughts of figures about the Qur'anic Studies, and the thematic Qur'an. Tanzil: Jurnal Studi Al-Quran published two times a year in April and October. Starting Volume 6, Number 1 October 2023, Tanzil: Jurnal Studi Al-Quran only accepts English manuscripts, and the license used by Tanzil: Jurnal Studi Al-Quran changed to the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
Tanzil: Jurnal Studi Al-Quran has been accredited Sinta 5 on October 15th, 2024 by the General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (SK Dirjen No. 177/E/KPT/2024) and effective until 2025.
