Retraction, Withdrawal, and Correction Policy
Retraction, Withdrawal, and Correction Policy
The author has the right to choose the destination of the journal and also has the right to decide whether or not to publish their manuscript. However, authors should be careful and not hastily withdraw manuscripts that have already been submitted to academic journals.
Before withdrawing, retracting, and correcting a manuscript that has already been submitted to an academic journal, the authors should first communicate with the journal’s management to process the withdrawal retraction or correction. Authors should understand the ethics and guidelines for withdrawal, retraction, or correction of a manuscript in an academic journal before submitting their manuscript.
Article Withdrawal
The author is not allowed to withdraw the submitted manuscript, because the withdrawal is a waste of valuable resources that the editor and referees have spent a great deal of time processing the submitted manuscript and the work invested by the publisher. This policy explains the mechanisms, conditions, and sanctions if an author withdraws their manuscript, such as:
If the manuscript is during the review stage or after the review is complete (unless the manuscript is declared rejected), the author will be punished by paying USD 150.
If the manuscript is accepted, the author will be punished by paying USD 250.
If the manuscript has been published, the author will be punished by paying USD 350.
Withdrawal of the manuscript is only allowed after the withdrawal penalty has been fully paid to the publisher. If the author disagree to pay the penalty, the author and his/her affiliation will be blacklisted for publication in this journal.
Processing manuscripts in journals does take time. If the author is impatient, he can communicate with the journal manager and ask about the progress of the manuscript that has been submitted. Even if you want to withdraw a manuscript that has been submitted, you still have to communicate with the journal management. To request the withdrawal of the article, the author(s) sends an official letter signed by all the authors concerned and addressed to the Chief Editor.
Article Retraction
The article may be retracted due to an error in the conclusion, a conflict, or the discovery of an element of violation in the article (plagiarism). The sanction can range from fines to blocking the author from the journal forever.
Article Correction
The article may be corrected due to errors in writing author information. Corrections can come from the publisher (erratum), author (corrigendum), and additional information/data (addendum).
